hmmm...

Me oh my.

In my email today was someone's name. And a telephone number.

No message attached.

Now, I take these sort of situations in several ways.

1) I've gotten this in error.

2) I've gotten this bit of information to be used in some way, but it's from someone not familiar to/with me, and therefore I'm slightly confused.

3) I've gotten this because some rat bastard is spamming the hell out of me.

Therefore, I usually respond with a nice little nervous generic email asking the obvious--Was this meant for me and if so ..why?

Usually ends up being an uh-oh.

In fact, at one point in time this nice grandfatherly man was emailing me regularly, thinking he was emailing his granddaughter off at college. Very nice man, to whom I sent a nice email stating I was me..and not Granddaughter. He apologized and, I'm sure, was a tad bit embarassed to be sharing family things with a non-family member.

Interesting. Maybe I should just call the number.
