Other than a strange booming noise coming from way behind my house across the field, it's silent. Work today was mild, exacerbated towards the end by the late arrival of the second shifter (which caused me a late departure). She allegedly had smacked her head on a cupboard. However, when I called her home to ask exactly HOW late she'd be, she failed to answer her phone. Bleh.
It's hot as Hades here, and being quirky, I floundered round the boys pool after I tucked them in. Lovely, I say. It was cold and wet and wonderful. I can honestly say it took about 30 degrees off me. Lovely.
I'll be back after bit. I'm hungry and I'm going to scrounge.
