Lovely day

It's chilly this Sunday but the sky's incredibly blue and the sun's a-shining so we took a trip to the park.

Much time was spent watching the fat, furry squirrels stuffing their cheeks with assorted nuts and scurrying up and down the trees. They play like children do, which makes MY children giggle like mad.

Perfect day for kicking 'round a soccer ball and climbing like small monkeys all over the playground equipment. It never fails to amaze me how the chill doesn't seem to touch them, like they have this built-in shield against it.

And since they were given gift booklets from Mickey D's that expire the end of December, we made a quick stop after the park to get warm apple pies for free. All around a nice way to spend a couple hours with my boysos.

Within the next week or so we'll be setting up Christmas decorations and the like. Trevor wants to start his Christmas letter to Santa RIGHT NOW. And Ry just wants it to be Christmas. We'll be making our countdown to Christmas calendars today sometime and they're pretty excited over that.

I'm just glad to be getting into the spirit. I wasn't sure, financially, how things would be sitting but I think it'll wiggle it's way out and that's a relief. Nice to be able to relax a little.

I seem to be backed up in the laundry department, with oodles to do, so this will be a short entry for now. Happy Sunday everyone.
