Happy and not-so-happy boys

Ryan's games are increasingly painful to watch, mostly because he's getting so frustrated.
It's a young team, with alot of newer players and at this point, most of them are playing their best. There are a couple of boys who don't even seem to know they're on a ballfield, let alone what they're supposed to do with a baseball. I don't find fault with that as everyone needs to start somewhere. They're doing near to what could be expected for kids with their level of experience.
Ry's frustration comes because of his lack of patience and his disappointment that he JUST missed the cut off for Minor League. He's an old soul and feels like he should be up with the "big guys". If it were left to experience, he would be. It wasn't, though. So we're working on patience and understanding and hopefully, he'll be able to help some of them and help even out the team a little.

Trevor's team sponsor took them to Wendy's tonight. They won their game and were very, very boisterous. It's interesting watching such a large group of boys (+ one girl), sitting at tables pushed together, a motley crew to the last of them. And they all get along.
Trev was allowed to play third base tonight for the final inning and he actually stopped someone. He was over the moon.
My aunt and uncle made it to both of the boys' last games and stayed about two innings for each. My aunt just gets skittish every time they hit the ball and is afraid it's going to pop over the fence and smack her one.
It was nice, though, that they came. Always a nice change of pace when you see more than Mom's face there.

Gramps is maintaining. He's sort of oblivious to the passing of days, settled into his little apartment. We've done alot of transplanting the last several days, a great joy when you factor in my sons, my sister and Pugs the dog. It's been fun.
Pugs isn't doing so hot. He still has trouble with his back end, still carries himself as if he's in pain. I'm a little worried. Poor pup.

My sis is bringing over her friend Circe tomorrow. I've agreed to watch Circe on an "emergency" basis, when her grandmother has something else she needs to do. It'll be a different dynamic, I'm thinking.
I need to work on laundry.
Happy Thursday.
