It's amazing to me what a clean house can do for one's state of mind. With everything Christmas put away in it's spot and a deep cleaning that's managed to scour away the clutter, I'm in a better space, literally and figuratively. I've got a ton of things to Freecycle and that's taking up a bit of space but it's productive so I don't mind so much. The kitchen table is loaded with munchies of the boy-kind: mozzarella sticks, lil smokies and cheese chunks, pizza rolls, breaded shrimp, home made doughnuts and taquitos. Their bellies are going to be buddha-esque but it's all good. They'll eat until they're stuffed and we'll begin our Monopoly marathon here in the very near future. I'll move the coffee table out of the way and we'll contaminate my clean living room with sleeping bags, pillows and popcorn while we buy up Park Ave and Marvin Gardens. At some point, Trevor will likely doze off and Ry and I will have to wake him as the ball drops. Can't think of a better way to bring in the new year. *** No recap of 2006. Instead? To Do List for 2007: Paint Kitchen and cabinets. Ditto bathroom. De-clutter. Lose weight. Help the dog lose weight. Try something new every week (food, music, driving route, SOMETHING!) Slow down and enjoy life more. *** Happy New Year, everyone. N.
