got to give it up

Tucked into bed, my boys are whispering back and forth about things like Superman and different colored kryptonite, and how they wish it would stay warm enough to ride bikes. We've had baths, and read every Dr. Seuss book we own, and now they're settled in and I'm once again here. Strange. I've books waiting to be read--one on Jack the Ripper written by Patricia Cornwell that's been waiting for me, and another by some author I've only been recommended to, and still I find myself out here. Cd changer is stuffed with Brian McKnight (? ok), Norah Jones (of course), Sarah McLachlan's Mirrorball, Vertical Horizon(another ?) and the soundtrack to Practical Magic. Marvin Gaye's Got to give it up..makin' me wiggle; and I have a real thing for Harry Nilsson's Coconut..listen to it and you'll know why I smile. My sons can even slide into that accent. Too cute. It's still mostly warm, and now breezy and raining. I've opened my bedroom window (yes, fair readers, my computer is set up in my bedroom and not for the pornick{another Nikki-ism} reasons you'd assume)and the air is every now and again raising goosebumps. Yum.

This song makes me think of dark and hot and wet heated sex, so slow it makes every nerve scream. lisahall's is this real. You'd understand if you heard it as well. Kind of like the musical version of DaSauce's take on bundling. Good stuff.

Not long till it's shower time. I'm one of those people who's selfish enough to spend way too long in the shower, ruddying up the skin with the heat and steam and melting every tense muscle that's even had the thought of entering my body. Beyond that, I'm a water baby.

Somehow, I've settled into a very..sensual mood. I'm not sure if it's the choice in music, or the weather or me or a combination of all.
