nixtress's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- puddytats
The weather calmed down enough to get outside this afternoon with the boys and the pitching machine. They're in love. It's funny. The only thing that got them distracted was the fact that we have a bird's nest in the soffet of the house and they could hear the baby birds chirping incredibly loudly when Mama Bird brought the worms. And such sweethearts--they were incredibly careful with me today. Funny to have your sons treat you like you're fragile. And now I'm sitting idly in front of the computer again, waiting for Idol and/or next to last Buffy to come on and sipping Irish Mocha coffee. Yum. The boys and I went to that medical research facility again today. And we've adopted 2 kitties. The facility is paying to have them declawed and neutered, and we'll bring them home next week. One is pitch black and seems so..cautious and withdrawn. She's so pretty though, petite and tiny. The other is a male tabby, soft and very affectionate already. They're both what they call stock cats, meaning they've been part of the control group (never had testing done on them) and were bred specifically for the purpose of the studies, so it'll be an adjustment for the poor babies. They've never been in a home, or with people who actually spent time with them... I'm looking forward to it. Little darlings. The male will be named Nicodemus. I've yet to decide on the female's. I've a history of unusual names for my pets and this time won't be any different. Off to do some research.
