Scratchy throat and why does the time change make the days take forever?

Happy Halloween!
The real hoopla is over by today, of course. At least in our town it is. I don't suppose that diminishes the actual holiday though.
God is laughing at me. I called off sick yesterday, had a grand time cavorting with my boys and being bad, bad, bad and today I'm paying for it. My throat is killing me, all raw and scratchy. In just a few minutes I'm going to take a nice healthy dose of Nyquil and knock it all out of me. Yay for that.
Work was sluggish and slow. Completely boring. Hated even being there. I think it was made worse by the time change. Today, overall, just seemed to creep by.
Nothing exciting to impart, nothing new, nothing pressing. I have a hot date with my comforter and some sleep. I'd love to crawl into the warmth of another body, curled in the arms of someone who loved me (if not the germs I'd share with them!)
Dreams will have to suffice.
